MATT MATHIAS

Matt Mathias is the founder of Matt Mathias & Company. He began his real estate career in 1980 in Austin, Texas with Hardin Corporation, a large business park and office developer, where he ultimately served as the Director of Sales and Leasing. He has been involved in hundreds of lease and sale transactions over the prior 25 years, including some of Austin's largest. Today Matt directs the company's services, oversees day-to-day operations, and is actively involved in representing tenants, landlords, users and investors in all their commercial real estate needs.
Matt has previously served as President of the Commercial Leasing Brokers Association (CLBA) and the Austin Commercial Real Estate Society (ACRES). He has served on the Board of Directors of the Real Estate Council of Austin (RECA), as a member of the Economic Development Committee at the Austin-area Chamber of Commerce, as well as with many other civic organizations. He has guest lectured at The University of Texas MBA program, and is a frequent speaker for professional organizations and civic clubs.
He received a BBA with Honors from The University of Texas at Austin.
JERRY SMITH
Jerry Smith has been with Matt Mathias & Company for over 10 years. He specializes in commercial leasing and sales transactions for office, retail and industrial product, as well as site selection and investment sales.
Jerry has a proven track record of saving companies and organizations time and money on their commercial real estate purchases, sales and leases. In his ten years working primarily in the Central Texas market with buyers, sellers, tenants and landlords, Jerry has developed a diverse knowledge and expertise covering virtually the full spectrum of the commercial real estate sales and leasing field.
A life-long Austinite, Jerry is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin. He is a member of the Commercial Leasing Brokers Association (CLBA).
MICHAEL LEVY
Michael Levy joined Matt Mathias & Company in 2005. His experience ranges from representing office, retail and industrial tenants in their search for lease space to representing buyers and sellers in the acquisition or disposition of assets including land, office, retail, multifamily and income-producing properties.
Prior to joining the firm, Michael worked in commercial operations and business development for a Fortune 200 oil & gas firm in Houston, Texas, and in membership and industry development with a national trade association in Washington, D.C.
Michael earned a BA and a MBA in Real Estate Finance from The University of Texas at Austin. He is a licensed real estate broker in the State of Texas and an active member of the Real Estate Council of Austin (RECA) and the Commercial Leasing Brokers Association (CLBA).
